In this quick start, you'll learn how to add the InputDate widget to an HTML project using HTML markup and jQuery script. We also add some initial text and formatted dates to a drop-down list using the showNullText, nullText, dateFormat, comboItems, and showTrigger options.

- Save your HTML file and open it in a browser. The widget appears like the following live widget. Click the trigger to show the comboItems in the drop-down list.
